3 Peak Challenge

San Gorgonio, San Jacinto, and San Antonio (Baldy) all in 3 months, 3 weeks, 3 days, or 24 hours. I've done the 3 week version several times, the 3 day version a couple of times, and finally completed the 24 hour version!

24 Hour- 2021

8/6/21  At long last, successful completion of the 24hr 3 Peak Challenge!! And on my 50th birthday to make it even sweeter! 42 miles and 14,000' of gain. Solo and NO tram. Total time of 22:39 including almost 4 hours of drive and transition time. Physically challenging but even more challenging mentally.

3 Week- 2021

While training for something bigger in the Summer of 2021, I inadvertently completed a 3 Week challenge. Adventure 16 is unfortunately no longer around, so it's strictly a personal challenge now. But it still counts!

3 Week- 2019

Coming back from injury and out of shape again, I toyed with the idea of doing the 3 Day version. But I ended-up playing it conservative and doing the 3 Week version instead. 54 miles, and about 15,000' of gain. It felt great to be back on the trails!

3 Day- 2017

Not in shape in 2017, and this time injured as well, I had to settle for the 3 Day version again. This time 50 miles, and 17,000' of gain. Again no tram on San Jacinto, and this time the super long Momyer trail for the Gorgonio summit.

3 Day- 2016

Not quite in shape for the 24 hour version in 2016, I opted for the 3 Day version instead. 54 miles and 15,500' of gain, including the long tram-less South Ridge route on San Jacinto. Still a definite butt kicker!
