3 Week- 2019

Coming back from injury and out of shape again, I toyed with the idea of doing the 3 Day version. But I ended-up playing it conservative and doing the 3 Week version instead. 54 miles, and about 15,000' of gain. It felt great to be back on the trails!

Week 1- San Jacinto via Deer Springs

Despite injury, I still refused to take the tram. This year, I took the Deer Springs and Wellman's Cienga loop up to the top and was joined by Dr. Rock. A long but beautiful 20 mile, 5000' gain day.

Week 2- Baldy via Ski Hut

I decided to do Mt. Baldy via Ski Hut for the second week to make sure I was ready for Gorgonio. A quick day of 9 miles and 4000' of gain highlighted by almost stepping on a good size rattlesnake.

Week 3- Gorgonio via South Fork and Dry Lake

For Gorgonio I opted for the South Fork trail past Dry Lake on the way up and then past Dollar Lake on the way back. 24 miles and roughly 5000' of gain. My Dad joined me on the beautiful hike up to Dry Lake. A great day on the trail!
