Mt. Whitney

A spontaneous trip to Mt. Whitney and Death Valley turned into a makeshift 24hr challenge. To go from the lowest point in the US at Badwater Basin to the highest point in the continguous US on top of Mt. Whitney within 24 hours. It was a challenging, but successful endeavor!

Day 1- Summit

8/1/18  The second part of my impromptu 24hr challenge. I needed to summit Mt. Whitney, the highest point in the contiguous US within 24 hours of being at the lowest point, Badwater Basin in Death Valley.

Day 2- Meysan Lake

8/2/18  I had time and energy for one more day on the trails, so I decided to do the Meysan Lake trail. It had been 15 year since the last time I was here, and it's still as beautiful and empty as ever!
